CAYA Productions is hiring a Studio Assistant to join our fast-paced recording and audio post-production studio in Abuja. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and technically proficient individual who is eager to grow in the audio production industry.
As a Studio Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our audio engineers, producers, and clients—ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across both technical and administrative tasks. You’ll help maintain an efficient, professional studio environment, assisting with audio sessions, managing social media, and ensuring the smooth running of studio activities. This role provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional studio environment.
CAYA Productions is a boutique audio post-production facility and upscale recording studio. It provides every service required for all audio-visual projects from start to finish. We provide an immersive auditory experience through recording, sound design, dialogue editing, mixing, mastering, and other audio services for all TV, movie, animation, music, broadcast, gaming, podcast, and new media.
Work Duties—Studio Assistant
Studio Operations & Maintenance
Ensure the studio remains clean, functional, and well-stocked by monitoring utilities (electricity, generator), restocking supplies (e.g., batteries, cables, refreshments), and managing general upkeep.
Organize, label, and store equipment properly; perform routine checks on equipment functionality and report any issues to the Studio Manager or Head Audio Engineer.
Studio & Technical Support
Assist audio engineers with studio session setup and teardown (microphones, cables, instruments, DAW templates, etc.)
Help monitor recording sessions and provide in-session support by handling refreshments, running errands, and addressing client needs promptly.
Assist with organizing and archiving session files and project data.
Perform basic file management and labeling tasks.
Support engineers with minor editing or cleanup tasks as guided (e.g., rough cuts, noise reduction if trained).
Administrative & Clerical Duties
Schedule recording sessions, client meetings, internal appointments and maintain studio calendars
Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and document organization.
Welcome clients and maintain a professional, client-friendly atmosphere throughout their visit.
Answer calls and emails professionally and promptly
Prepare and archive session documentation and files
Maintain accurate logs, client databases, petty cash, and inventory records
Marketing & Social Media
Develop and manage the studio’s content calendar and publish posts across social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook).
Collaborate with influencers or brand ambassadors to enhance visibility and engagement.
Share creative ideas for promotional campaigns and contribute to marketing efforts that grow the studio’s brand presence.
Track analytics and engagement metrics
Skills and Requirements—Studio Assistant
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Strong interest or background in audio production, media, or music
Basic understanding of recording equipment and DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, FL Studio) is a plus
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express)
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Mac OS and office tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office)
Attention to detail and a proactive work ethic
